Love
Ceremony Synopsis
We begin with a welcome to everyone, and then prepare to receive the bride. Once the bride has made her entrance we hear about the theme of the ceremony which is love, this leads us into a simple song 'Into Love's Presence' or something else.
We then have a first reading chosen by the bride and groom and hear about why they have decided to get married, what marriage means to them, what they love about each other and what they hope for, for the future. Second and third readings can be included within the address, which then leads into a simple ritual - maybe a candle-lighting or a handfasting (or both) or something else.
We lead up to the vow exchange, then have an opportunity for a meaningful song, leading into the ring exchange.
An invocational prayer then leads us into a blessing where everyone can join in and then we have a final blessing and pronouncement of marriage leading into clapping and celebratory music and the bride and groom processing out to sign the paperwork.
