Ceremony, Support, Mediation

Marriages most often begin with a ceremony and a joyful celebration perhaps including family and friends - it's a time of planning a future together, a time of excitement and expectancy, often with a big investment of money in your dream day, and your hopes and dreams for a lifetime together.

But what about when it all goes wrong or doesn't work out and either comes crashing down around your ears, or just trickles away, and you're left feeling empty or hurt, anxious or confused?

Whatever takes place for you to get to the point that you or your partner feel your marriage is over, we offer support in three different ways should you feel you need or want it - Ceremony, Relationship Support, or Mediation.

A Ceremony of Separation or Divorce

When something begins with a ceremony and ritual it seems fitting for it to end that way - it can be very helpful to mark the ending in a similar way as the beginning (albeit likely to be much more low-key and possibly private).

Whether your split is amicable and your ceremony will include both you and your partner and you want to acknowledge each other, thank each other and wish each other well as you release each other; or whether your split is fraught with difficulty and only one of you wants a ceremony and it becomes more about healing and completing, we take our lead from you.

Your ceremony can be a joyful affair, celebrating what you had and that you've grown apart, with your family and friends present to witness and support you, or it can be an emotional affair and as small as just one of us and you. Just because only one of you feels they want a ceremony or ritual it doesn't matter - we can still create something for one of you without the other.

The day your Decree Nisi or Decree Absolute drops through your letter box can feel like a huge anti-climax potentially bringing up all sorts of mixed feelings and some kind of letting go ceremony can help you build your life and your confidence again. To talk more about what would be fitting for you please contact Angie.

Relationship Support

Should you wish to try to sort out your differences we offer relationship support either as a couple for you as a couple, or for you as a couple or individuals with Will. Please note we are not relationship counsellors in the traditional sense. We draw upon our own personal experiences of relationship, separation and divorce, and use the tools we've gained through our individual personal and spiritual development over the years, and our training with the Interfaith Seminary. To talk more about your needs please contact Will.

Mediation

Sometimes it's possible to sort out your personal effects without a solicitor and get hold of the necessary paperwork and do a DIY divorce. When that's not possible because of your children or shared assets, we can help you at least decide upon things before you meet with a solicitor. This could help you to reduce heartache and reduce potential solicitor's fees. We offer this service again as a couple for you as a couple, or for you as a couple or individuals with just Will. Please contact Will in the first instance to discuss where you're at.
